And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
This is such a powerful scripture that really explains a lot about why we have weaknesses and trials. The verse states that Heavenly Father gave us weaknesses so that we may humble ourselves before him. Also, weaknesses and trials provide a way to build our faith in the Lord and challenge us in life. But in order for us to strengthen the weaknesses we have, we must work diligently to try to fix our problems that we face. I believe that if we have faith in Heavenly Father and his power, he will help guide us through our trials. I know that these things are true and that we have weaknesses for a reason. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he set the perfect example for us. I have a testimony of repentance and forgiveness, and I know that we must all forgive each other for the wrongs we have committed. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God and I am thankful for his example as well. I know that the scriptures are the word of the Lord and that they are true. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
I agree Jake. This scripture gives me great comfort because it promises that our weaknesses can become strengths. For example if being disorganized is our weakness, with the Lord's help and our desire organization can become a strength. If money management is a weakness, it can become a strength. It is a promise from the Lord and that gives me hope and comfort and confidence, not only for me but for other people. I have personally witnessed weaknesses become strenghts.
