2 Nephi 4:4

I also started a little early. Anyway, in this chapter Lehi is giving blessings to his family before he dies, starting with Laman's. While he is talking to them he reminds them what the Lord had told them. The scripture says,"For the Lord God hath said that: Inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land" but then goes on to say "And inasmuch as ye will not keep my commandments ye shall be cut off from my presence." I know that verse still applies to our lives, and that if we keep the commandments we will be blessed here on Earth and in heaven, and if we don't keep the commandments we really will be cut off from the presence of the Lord and will be punished for our iniquities. I have a testimony of the Godhead and of the Book of Mormon. I know that President Monson is a true prophet, and that his teachings are true. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

  1. Thanks for pointing out those verses. They make it so clear and simple. If we keep the commandments we'll be blessed, if we don't we won't.
